New York, NY – Federal Enforcement Homeland Security Foundation (FEHSF) is pleased to announce that former Governors Tom Ridge and Frank Keating have joined the organization as Honorary Directors.

FEHSF is a 501(c) (3) non-profit, non-partisan organization that provides assistance to federal law enforcement personnel and their families who suffer hardships as a result of injury, illness, death or catastrophic loss. FEHSF is further dedicated to educating the general public, and youth in particular, about the critical role federal law enforcement personnel play, regardless of their home agency, in protecting the American way of life.

“The Federal Enforcement Homeland Security Foundation gives back to those that protect our security and guard our freedom each day. I am proud to lend a hand to the Foundation’s efforts to support these heroes and their families who are in need,” said Gov. Ridge.

“Tom and I have had the privilege to witness the determination, sacrifice and compassion of the men and women of federal law enforcement,” said Gov. Keating. “The Foundation’s effort to stand behind these patriots and to foster a greater understanding of their work is a noble and worthy cause.”

“Gov. Ridge and Gov. Keating are leaders with outstanding records of public service. They know first-hand the sacrifices of those our Foundation exists to serve and we are proud and honored to have their support,” said Richard S. Kendall, FEHSF Founder and Chief Executive Officer.

“We are extremely pleased that, in their roles as Honorary Directors, Gov. Ridge and Gov. Keating will help us raise awareness of the Foundation’s work and help to educate our fellow citizens about the outstanding service of federal law enforcement agents, officers and personnel,” added David S. Stone, Esq., FEHSF Founder and Chief Operating Officer.

Tom Ridge was the 43rd Governor of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, serving from 1995 – 2001. Following the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States, he was named by President George W. Bush to head the White House Office of Homeland Security. In 2003, he led the historic merger of 22 federal agencies into the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and served as the department’s first Secretary until February 2005. Gov. Ridge, a decorated U.S. Army combat veteran, is a former prosecutor and former member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Frank Keating served as Governor of Oklahoma from 1995 – 2003. He was widely praised for leading his state’s response and relief efforts to the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. Gov. Keating is a former FBI agent and U.S. Attorney. During his service as U.S. Assistant Attorney General and Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, he supervised federal law enforcement agencies including INS, U.S. Secret Service, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, U.S. Customs, the U.S. Marshals and the Bureau of Prisons.
