Direct Giving Charitable Foundation
Grant Eligibility Criteria: A current or active sworn Agent or Officer in Federal Law Enforcement from: ATF, CBP, DEA, FBI, HSI, USSS, and USMS. Grants issued to Federal Agents as well as their spouse and/or children related to: line of duty deaths or injuries, serious and life threatening medical conditions, financial hardship and natural disasters.
2024 Grants Issued
DEA - An Agent tragically lost his life, a check was delivered to the family to cover funeral expenses.
HSI - An Agent suffered a major medical emergency, a check was delivered to the family to alleviate medical expenses.
HSI - A DSAIC unexpectedly lost his life, a check was delivered to the family to alleviate any financial burden they will encumber.
ATF - An Agent and his wife tragically lost their young child, a check was delivered to the family to aid them in their time of need.
CBP - Passed away in Line of Duty in a helicopter crash at the Southern Border, financial support given to the family.
FBI - Passed Away due to cardiac arrest, financial support given to the family.
US Secret Service - Wife of officer suddenly passed away, financial assistance was given to the surviving spouse and children.
US Marshal Service - Line of Duty death involved in a shooting, financial assistance was provided to surviving spouse and children.
HSI - Spouse and Child of Agent passed away in car crash, financial assistance provided to surviving family.
IRS CI - Tornado caused a tree to fall on Agents home, child passed away, spouse severely injured, financial assistance provided to family.
DEA - Newborn of Agent passed away, financial assistance provided to family.
HSI - Agent passed away of illness, financial assistance provided to family.
US Marshal Service - House fire destroyed Agents home, financial assistance provided to family.
Samples of Previous Grants Issued
Alcohol, Tobacco, & Firearms (ATF) Special Response Team (SRT) Operator
Wife suddenly fell ill and died of a previously undiagnosed heart disorder leaving him with their young daughter. Our grant was used to offset immediate expenses for her funeral and childcare.
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Agent
Died within weeks of a kidney cancer diagnosis. His wife, also an FBI Agent, was provided a grant which was used towards their out of pocket hospital co-pays and his burial expenses.
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Agent
Tragically committed suicide. A grant was provided to his widow and used towards his funeral expenses.
Deputy United States Marshal (DUSM)
Shot and killed executing a high risk arrest warrant. Our grant was used for his widow and children’s daily living expenses and to assist extended family members with their travel and lodging expenses.
Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Task Force Officer (TFO)
Five year old daughter was diagnosed with leukemia. Our grant was used for their out of pocket co-pays for her medical treatments.
Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI)
Agent died of 9/11 related cancer. A grant was provided to his widow for her daily living expenses and to be used for out of pocket medical bills.
United States Secret Service Senior Special Agent
USSS Seniors Special Agent passed away after a long battle with cancer. The grant funds were used toward his two children’s college education.
Since our inception, FEHSF has provided approximately $4 million in Grants to our heroes in Federal Law Enforcement.
